Serafina, Part 1

It’s been a year and a half since this memorable early-on menu club visit. Lauri and I went to Serafina one summer night, and hit the jackpot. We sat on their awesome patio, just the right amount of warmth and humidity for a perfect summer dinner. I think we both had prosecco (I know I did – Lauri may still have been nursing Abby, not sure). Oh, it was scrumptious.

We started out with this mythic mista plate — an array of seasonal specialty starters. An archived email indicates it included fresh fig… and a fresh grilled sardine… and some melt in your mouth cheese. For main course, I believe Lauri had the eggplant parmesean (a signature of Serafina), and I’m fairly sure I had some sort of fish with a vaguely Moroccan theme to it.

I may not be able to write about all prior menu club visits, but this one was superb. So much, that we have returned to Serafina at least once, if not twice, since then. I know we went this past summer and had a great meal again on the patio… and I think we’ve eaten inside as well, in a wintry month. It always seems like such a good option.
