94 Stewart

For Jane’s final menu club (well, apart from guest appearances), she picked 94 Stewart, in Pike Place Market. Delightful. And not a whiff of its building’s former tenant, The Garlic Tree Restaurant. We all enjoyed the Urban Eats menu (salad, entree and dessert for $30): Sasha got the pork loin, Lauri and Jane got the hanger steak, and Beth got the salmon.

Beth reported on her possible new business venture. Lauri has joined the Capital Campaign for her kids’ pre-school (no catalog management required, but we discovered that they are nudists). Sasha looks fantastic and just barely pregnant; she eagerly awaits the end of the quarter at UW. Jane closed on her house and has handed over the keys. We’ll give her final send off next weekend at happy hour.

We had some discussion regarding films and television… Beth watched The Way We Were since our last meeting. We gave Jane parting gifts of Zagat’s for her new ‘hood, and a gift card from wine.com. Enjoy!

Sorry if my recall is not so sharp this month. We had a really nice evening, many laughs, and special attention from the coat check/water guy. He made an impression, particularly on Sasha, who asked him for her coat as we prepared to leave. He replied, “You can wear me home.”

No plan for next month yet.

-Beth
